I: The Betrayal
since that day I'm left to think
love flushed down the kitchen sink
and spite just overwhelms my mind
seems you were the hurting kind.
in and out the evening goes
without you my sorrow grows.
near the lake you struck the pose,
reflecting meek, a winter rose:
your petals brown, your psyche's black,
your thorns protect you from attack,
your stem that's arched across your back,
your tongue lashed out at what you lack.....me.
II: The Revelation
I choose today to reject all things human,
becoming an advocate of the great adversary of Christ.
I choose this moment to embrace my own pride, turning in on my essence.
I choose me and no one else. I'm watching out for myself.
I choose today to take a lover, to create a work of art and to tell many lies.
